Without the SQL Server patch to support TLS 1.2, you may have issues when you upgrade from Symantec Endpoint Protection 12.1 to 14. This recommendation applies to SQL Server 2008, 2012, and 2014. Note: If Symantec Endpoint Protection uses a SQL Server database and your environment only uses TLS 1.2, ensure that SQL Server supports TLS 1.2.
